I never want to get to a place where I take my opportunities for granted. I think it's funny though that through a twisted kaleidoscope called "social media" people could have the potential to envy me, and me to envy others. A lavish life on Instagram is mostly a facade.
But, the one thing I have gained from traveling so much is a small but powerfully empowering gift called
PERSPECTIVE
Because I have experienced places outside of a bubble called "comfort zone", I understand that it's not all about me and what is going on in Haley's world. Every time I get on a plane, I am reminded how many people have so many things going on, and most of them are in worse situations than I am. Trains and planes and beautiful reminders that I am not the only one here.
Why does this matter?
Well, it helps you pick your OWN self up, silence the whimper and keep on keepin'.
It helps us realize that it's not all about what car I drive, the sale I missed or how the girl at work is just so rude to me.
Let's get a real life here...
